In this installation composed of used shoes, handcuffs and a red carpet I speak to the feeling of imprisonment of relationships.
Relationships can be very oppressive or very liberating.
The red carpet represents life and our ambitions. The used shoes are a representation of people who are or were part of our lives.
The shoes usually belong to people I know.
