Kristina Haritonova was born in 1985, in Riga, the capital of Latvia. She studied at the Art College of Riga. Her style of art is concerned with conceptual constructivism which manifests her desire for the depiction of sublime and pure forms mixed with natural and organic shapes. Developing the utopia like a visual language of archetypal structures, creating a space of silence where simplicity makes us feel free and it is achieved by the clarity of the subject-matter.
Artist Statement
For me thinking is the source of my personal delight. I like to create complex intellectual objects using simple clear forms. I find inspiration in random situations, like running by a wheat field under old windmills or drinking tea on the house rooftops in different cities, writing poetry in the sand before the rain, considering life as an act of art.
